UnitingCare Family Services Launceston Northern Tasmania

UnitingCare Family Services - Northern Tasmania.
Committed to providing a childsafe and friendly environment.

Welcome to UnitingCare Family Services - Northern Tasmania.

UnitingCare Family Services (UCFS) was established in 2005 following the changeover from the committees of management from Pilgrim Services who had been managing several services here for over fifteen years on behalf of the Pilgrim Uniting Church, to becoming an Agency of the National UnitingCare network supporting over 5000 families in our local community every year.

UCFS is a community & family service, UnitingCare Agency in Tasmania, and we work with many of the Uniting Churches and organisations in our local regions. We are governed by a Board of Governance drawn from Launceston Uniting Church members and the wider community, and appointed through the Commission for Mission of the Synod of Victoria & Tasmania after local nomination.

We are here to work alongside families and to connect and strengthen relationships within our community.

Currently, our services include offering support to individuals and couples with young children between the ages of 0 - 7 years; providing occasional child care at the Pilgrim Occasional Child Care Centre; Pregnancy and Young Parents Support (PYPS); a free lending library and referral point through the Family Resource Centre; Parenting Support, Early Childhood Play teaching, and problem solving utilising a mediation approach.

Feel free to check these out more fully on the 'Our Services' pages.

UCFS trust that we can help you find the support you and your family are looking for.
