UnitingCare Pregnant Young Parents Support - (PYPS)
The Pregnant and Young Parent Support Service (PYPS) offers support to a younger client group (15 - 25 years) through either (or both) the pregnancy or parenting phase, thanks to continued financial support from the State Government’s Department of Health and Human Services.
PYPS is for young people entering parenthood, both emotionally, and with some more practical assistance, by giving out nappies, baby packs,information, support and education groups, or with donated goods.
PYPS has a wealth of information around pregnancy and birth, and access to parenting resources at the Family Resource Centre. It also works in well with our play therapist, the child care centre, the local hospital obstetrics department, ante natal support services, schools, colleges, the local playgroups and child & maternal health services.
